AGOG Dynamic uses specialist smoke-trace and smoke-generation equipment to visualise airflow around vehicles, structures, models and components during wind testing and specialist investigations.

Equipment includes adapted Concept Aerotech smoke-trace systems and Concept smoke generators, selected and configured to suit the airflow visualisation requirements.

Our smoke-trace equipment incorporates a heated tip mounted on a slender wand, producing a controlled point source of smoke that can be positioned within an airflow. This allows the smoke stream to follow the movement of air around the test subject, making airflow direction and local flow behaviour visible.

AIRFLOW VISUALISATION

Smoke tracing can be used to observe airflow attachment, separation, turbulence and other visible flow characteristics around models, components and structures.

Applications include automotive prototypes, aircraft models, architectural structures and specialist engineering investigations.

PORTABLE & BESPOKE APPLICATIONS

Our equipment can be used within suitable wind-tunnel facilities or incorporated into portable airflow arrangements, including outdoor environments where conditions permit.

Drawing on the wider AGOG group’s engineering capabilities, we can develop bespoke mounting, positioning and support arrangements to suit the equipment, test subject and available space.

Smoke-trace visualisation can also be combined with our portable wind systems for environmental testing, product development and specialist field trials.
