AGOG Dynamic designs, develops and integrates motion platforms and specialist mechanical test rigs for applications requiring controlled movement, positioning and repeatable motion.
Using existing equipment or purpose-built systems, we can develop arrangements incorporating six degrees of freedom (6-DoF), linear movement and turntable mechanisms to reproduce physical movement and operating conditions around a test subject.
SIX-DEGREE-OF-FREEDOM (6-DoF) PLATFORMS
Six-degree-of-freedom platforms provide movement across three linear axes and three rotational axes, allowing combinations of translation, pitch, roll and yaw.
These systems can be configured around the size, mass, movement requirements and operating conditions of the equipment being tested or developed.
CONFIGURABLE MOTION SYSTEMS
Motion platforms and mechanical rigs can be adapted to individual project requirements, including:
Payload capacity: Structures, supports and actuators selected around the mass and dimensions of the test subject.
Motion profiles: Defined movement sequences, speeds, travel limits and operating cycles.
Linear and rotational movement: Linear actuators, turntables and combined mechanical arrangements.
Control systems: Programmable motion sequences and operator-controlled adjustments where required.
Mechanical construction: Fabricated frames, supports, actuators and engineered assemblies developed for the application.
Measurement and data: Integration of suitable instrumentation and data collection equipment where specified.
APPLICATIONS
Automotive: Suspension movement, vehicle dynamics and component evaluation.
Aerospace: Motion simulation, equipment positioning and cockpit development.
Marine: Vessel movement simulation and marine equipment evaluation.
Entertainment: Motion effects, themed installations, ride development and specialist mechanical systems.
Research and development: Bespoke movement rigs for prototypes, products and experimental applications.
DESIGN & ENGINEERING
Drawing on the wider AGOG group’s mechanical design, CNC machining, additive manufacturing, fabrication and controls capabilities, we can develop motion systems from initial concepts through to finished mechanical assemblies.
Our approach combines existing equipment, specialist engineering and bespoke manufacturing to produce practical motion arrangements around unusual project requirements.
